KS product
KS product is generally used in the refining of various mineral oils and some chemicals.
1 – Types of KS :
The KS type is divided into two main types, taking into account all general and economic characteristics:
1 – Super type including KS1, KS2, KS4, KS5, KS7, KS8, KS9, and KS15
2 – Special type
2 – Application of KS types
In principle, the refining of mineral and industrial oils and various chemical substances may be carried out in one or two stages, or sometimes more, and by one or two different types of soil. Accordingly:
1 – Types KS1 and KS7 for refining recycled oils and diesel.
2 - Types KS8, KS9 and KS15 in solid paraffin refining and one stage of liquid paraffin and vaseline refining
3 – Types KS2 and KS5 in one stage of liquid paraffin and vaseline refining
4 – Type KS4 for refining oils used in soap (tallow)
5- Special type: If the consumer needs to change some of the specifications of the Super type, special types are produced and supplied based on their order and the recommendations of this company.
3 – KS chemical analysis
The average chemical analysis (in terms of elemental oxides) of KS types is as follows:

4 – KS Mineralogical Analysis
The main minerals that make up this product are clay minerals, most of which are montmorilonite. Other minerals are mostly silica, then various feldspars, and a small amount of lime and gypsum.
5 – Physical characteristics
1 – Color: White – Gray
2 – Appearance: Powder
3- Solubility in water: insoluble
4 – Average humidity: %10 (two hours 110ºc)
5- P 2.5-5.2: PH (%1 solution)
6 - Free acidity: less than 0.25% in terms of sulfuric acid
7 – Volumetric mass: 450-600 gr/I in different types
8 – Grading: Maximum %64 passing through 200 mesh sieve. Maximum %0 passing through 400 mesh sieve.
6 – Practical effects of KS
This type of soil is of the highest quality compared to foreign types.
1 – Highest absorption power of fine and suspended particles
2 – Highest whitening power (bleaching)
3 – Highest power to reduce and remove PAH and sulfur compounds
4 – Highest absorption power of heavy and toxic metals
5 – No color return
6 – High filtration speed
7 – Minimal oil absorption
7 – Optimal Bleaching Conditions with KS
The operating conditions that must be observed in the use of this soil vary due to the differences in the refining process of different oils, but the following factors must be considered depending on the type of oil:
1 – Soil temperature
2 – Time of contact between soil and oil
3 – How to mix soil with oil
4 - Amount of acid consumption in the overall purification process
5 – Amount of lime consumed in the overall purification process
